What Is Ansaid?
Ansaid contains flurbiprofen as an active ingredient and belongs to a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is used to relieve pain or inflammation due to arthritis.
Uses of Ansaid
Ansaid is used to lessen pain, inflammation, and joint stiffness caused by arthritis. It is also used to cure pain occurring due to conditions involving dental pain, muscle aches, and menstrual cramps.Ansaid is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It causes blocking of production of a few natural substances in your body that induce inflammation. This helps to reduce swelling and pain.If you are getting treatment for a chronic condition such as arthritis, tell your doctor regarding non-drug treatments and prescribe other medications to cure your pain.
How to use Ansaid
Read carefully the Medication Guide you are provided by your physician before you start consuming Ansaid. If any questions come to mind, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Take this drug by mouth as prescribed by your doctor, usually 2 to 4 times a day. Consume this medicine with a glass full of water (8 ounces or 240 milliliters) even if your prescriber directs you. Avoid lying down for about 10 minutes after consumption of this medication. If your stomach is disturbed while consuming this medication, consume it with food, or with milk, or an antacid.
Consult your physician if your condition gets severe.
Side Effects of Ansaid

If any of the above side effects last for longer periods or get worse, tell your physician or pharmacist instantly.
Keep in mind that this drug has been prescribed to you because your physician has judged that you get more benefits than the harms of this medicine. Many patients taking this drug do not have severe side effects.
This drug may increase your blood pressure. Monitor your blood pressure at regular intervals and ask your physician if the blood pressure is high.
Ask your physician instantly if you notice any serious side effects that include:
- Headache which is more severe or does not get relief
- Mental/mood changes
- Hearing problems (such as tinnitus)
- Easy bleeding/bruising
- Symptoms of heart failure (such as unusual tiredness, swelling of ankles or feet
- Unusual/sudden weight gain)
- Difficult/painful swallowing
- Kidney problems (such as change in the quantity of urine or color of urine, pink/bloody urine)
- Neck stiffness
Ansaid may rarely produce serious or fatal liver disease. Take medical advice right away if you face any symptoms of liver damage. That includes: nausea and vomiting that continues, stomach or abdominal pain, loss of appetite, yellowing eyes and skin, and dark coloured urine.
A very severe allergic reaction to this medication is rare. If you observe any symptoms of severe allergic reaction, including: swollen lymph nodes, fever, rash, itching and swelling of the face, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing, get medical help.
